Antioch Family Prairie Paks :
The Antioch Family Life Center has partnered with Prairie Land Food to reward people who volunteer with low-cost food packages. Prairie Land Food is a nonprofit organization that delivers fresh food items to designated locations around the state of Kansas, as well as parts of Nebraska and Oklahoma. The food packages consist of quality meats, fresh fruits, and vegetables. Each month also has three “Specials” that can be purchased with the Prairie Pak.
Anyone who wants to stretch their food dollar and enjoys volunteering
can order! Prairie Paks include a variety of 7-8 meat items plus 6-8
lbs of fresh fruits and vegetables for only $21 and 2 hours of volunteering.
We accept cash and Vision Cards. Come by the AFLC during food bank hours
(Mondays 9am-12pm and Wednesdays 1-3pm) or contact the AFLC by phone
at 232-1937 to learn more.
The Antioch Family Life Center, Inc. is a faith-based 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization set in the community to offer social services to those in need as we live out our mission "to provide a facility within the community by which lives are enriched and enhanced by the implementation of human and social service programs. Whereby, the socially and economically disadvantaged are empowered through education and training to become self sufficient."
The Board and staff of the Antioch Family Life Center believe that the
family is our community’s most precious resource. For years, this resource
has faced many challenges from various quarters. Among these being the
lack of safe and affordable childcare, an increase in the number of
at-risk youth, substance abuse, violence, teen pregnancy, single parenting
and unemployment.
In response to these needs, the Antioch Family Life Center has, and
continues to implement intensive programs. These programs focus on health
and safety, employment preparation, continuing education and childcare,
as well as other support services as needed.
